“This truly isn't a goodbye but a hello to the next chapter.”

There was a chunk of time, in Toronto, at a little studio on Bloor Street, second floor... space was simple, beautiful, clean and well loved. Sounds of the big city muted slightly by the walls and windows, sounds eventually fade to the background. In the studio, we would see a beautiful mural outside the window, showing off a Toronto Artist. The sunsets, the street lights, the seasons.... the people, lots of people.

A chalkboard and chalk, present and ready for the teacher and student. Sanskrit painted on the wall with a mantra that links us directly to the past, present and future all at the same time. Hardwood floors that were perfectly imperfect. Times I would wonder how so many people could fit in that one room, somehow it all worked, all we needed was the space on our mats, if you wanted to practice, there was space for you. One thing was for sure, you would leave the space simply feeling better.

I am so glad that that chunk of time coincided with the chunk of time that I was in Toronto. The studio space will be missed. That chunk of time influenced so many people, super spreaders of kindness, non-harming, release, learning, teaching.

I may never do a handstand, but that doesn't matter, I'm on a journey to handstand... I may never arrive and that's ok. Right, it's ok isn't it, sometimes I still need that reminder. We shall meet again, in person or virtually, so we say goodbye to the space and hello to what's next. This truly isn't a goodbye but a hello to the next chapter.

All the best to everyone who made the space special for all those years, and thank you for all your hard work.

Take care.
